AIC’s 3-Day Holiday Cleaning Checklist!
If you are like millions of other “last minute” cleaners, you procrastinators you, and wait till just a few days before guests arrive to start cleaning your home, chances are, you are feeling a little overwhelmed right about now!
Ahhh, what to do?
Take a breath, don’t fret, you will get it done and all will be well, we promise!
We’ve broken down all the cleaning, organizing and preparing you will need to do with this easy “3-Day Holiday Cleaning Checklist.”
And the best part? You can do this in just 3 days! That’s right, only 3 days to prepare and get your home in tip-top shape for your guests. Not only will they refrain from judgment (we all have that one aunt that used to be a housekeeper) but more importantly, they’ll feel comfortable because after all, who wants to eat in a house that looks like this?
OK-OK, your house isn’t this bad (I hope), but still, we all want a nice and clean home for great-grandma to eat in, right?
So here we go, let’s look at the overview and don’t forget to download our FREE checklist here: AIC 3-DAY Holiday Cleaning Checklist
First off, ask for help! Get the kids involved
Secondly: follow our checklist
We are going to declutter and prep our yard, garage, porch, steps, sidewalks, and driveway. Don’t go crazy, now is NOT the time to be the best organizer there is so just make it presentable. We recommend staying up on the snow and salting often, however. Then, let’s move it inside and hit up the bedrooms. Finally, the kitchen; the kitchen is probably the most important area of your home to clean especially if you are cooking!
Start with your bathroom. Scrub it, clean it, organize it, do it all because guests will be in and out all day/night and they will snoop around! Then, head to the living areas of your home; the living room, the dining room, the office, etc., anywhere your guests will hang out. Make it nice and cozy!
Finish up your cleaning with wrapping up all the loose ends. The “General” stuff like windows, carpets, laundry, trash and so on.
That’s it! You can do it – and hey, don’t stress out about it, you got this!
